September was a really full month. I started so many projects...

Finished some and am finishing others...

Here what I´ve been finishing this week.

September war ein voller Monat. Ich habe so viele Projekte angefangen... 

Manche habe ich schon zu Ende gebracht aber bei andere bin ich gerade dabei...

Hier was ich an diese Woche arbeite.

Setembro foi um mês cheio. Comecei tantos preojetos...

Terminei alguns e estou terminando outros...

Aqui o que estou terminando essa semana.

 

Reading - Lese - Lendo

Some weeks ago I started reading "The Crafter´s Companion".
The book compiles stories of excited Crafters. It is so nice and inspiring to read the stories of those ordinary women with different backgrounds, life styles, ages and countries who have one thing in common: the passion for crafting.
It is a great book, light and easy to read and with nice pictures and projects. Not one of those books to read through but to enjoy with moderation.

But the best thing about this book is still it's reasoning. It really translates my way of thinking and lingin in the world now-a-days.

Some time ago I was talking to someone while looking at one of those prospects from shops that sell everything from underwear to champagne and from silverware to computer. We´ve realized how things got cheaper and he said: "Everything got so cheap that everyone can get what they want. What are we supposed to give them for a present?".
Without thinking I immediately answered: "Handmade. You give them handmade".

In a world like ours - ok, that is probably still not reality in Brazil, where I come from but in Germany, where I´ve been living for the past 6 years it defnetely is! - where all we can dream of buying, the perfect, the best, the most beautiful is acheivable, handmade things (from any kind) are the only original thing left.

Things that were made one by one, with love and creativity can not be compared with those produced in mass. They cost time, dedication, etc but that is what make them unique.

Here is the statement from the book to which I totally agree with:

What I was up to the last days - Was habe ich die letzte Tage gemacht - O que eu estava fazendo nos últimos dias

Last week my husband and I attended a Pastor's Conference from our church denomination (BFP) here in Germany.
Since I took some days off at work I intended to use this time also to relax, read and craft.

The conference was  in a beautiful place and the weather was perfect.

 

Yes, we could enjoy and relax but not as much as I intended to. But that was not bad at all.
We had such great worship, sermons, meetings and inputs that we could not get enough! 

 

 

About 1,000 people, between pastors and church workers joint together with one common goal. That makes a difference!!!

 

We really had a blast. I unfortunately didn´t read as much as I wanted and didn´t craft at all... Believe it or not, I didn´t even realize it since I got so inspired. We came home renewed and sure that God has amazing plans for His people. It is great to be a part of it!

Fall is comming - Der Herbst kommt - O outono está chegando

The weather, the trees, the air, the light...Everything outside is telling us that fall is comming. I didn´t want to see it. Why?

Das Wetter, die Bäume, die Luft, das Licht ... Alles, draußen weisst darauf hin, dass der Herbst kommt. Ich wollte nicht zu sehen. Warum? Weil ich ein bisschen Dickköpfig bin! :)

O clima, as árvores, o ar, a luz lá fora ... Tudo dá a entender que o outono está chegando. E eu não queria aceitar. Por quê? Porque sou cabeca-dura!  
 

I´ve always wanted to celebrate my birthday in Sommer and since I live in Germany I am so happy to be able to do so. The problem iat that beginning of september is more of a late sommer and can be very "autumny"... But I don´t want to admit it! :P

Ich wollte schon immer meinem Geburtstag im Sommer feiern und seit dem ich in Deutschland lebe darf ih das!. Das Problem ist, dass Anfang September spät Sommer ist und sehr herbstlich sein kann ... Aber ich wollte es nicht zugeben! : P 

Eu sempre quis comemorar meu aniversário no verao e desde que eu moro na Alemanha fico feliz por finalmente porder aproveitar isso. O problema é que o início de setembro já conta mais como fim de verao e pode ter  muita cara do outono... Mas eu não gosto de admitir! :)

This week - Diese Woche - Esta semana

This week was my birthday. I love birthdays!
This year it was very special my husband made me so nice surprises and my sister baked a brazilian chocolate cake and sweets (beijonhos de coco).
Tofinish up the day perfectly we went to a brazilian restaurant in Strasbourg for dinner and had so many things I missed: feijao, arroz, farinha, pimenta, guarana...

Unfortunatelly I coudn´t take any pictures since I forgot my SD Card at home. :P bummer...

Then on friday I started the day feeling bad and went to bed with fever. So, I´m sick again  and the program for the weekend will be laying in bed checking the temperature and recovering....

Because of that I couldn´t work on the give-away I way intending to post today. Please be a little more patient then I will try to post is on monday! Don´t forget, to get a chace to win you have to leave a comment in one of september´s posts.  Wish you luck!

Moving things at home - Umräumen zu Hause - Mudando um pouco as coisas em casa

My husband loves moving things around at home.  I don´t. That is unlikely for a girl, I know. But once I´ve found a nice place for things, I can never imagine them being somewhere else...

But little by little my husband´s ideas are getting into my mind so, yesterday I told him I was feeling like changing places from things in our living room since we´ve been living here for one year now (which is pretty long for us. We are married for 3,5 years and this is our 4th appartment!)...

He was more than happy to hear me saying something like this and immediately started working on the new project. Here is how it turned out:

Mein Mann liebt es die Sachen zu Hause umzuräumen. Ich nicht! Das ist sehr ungewöhnlich für eine Frau aber die wahrheit. Wenn ich einmal ein netter Platz für Dinge gefunden habe, dann habe ich schwierigkeiten mir vorzustellen, dass sie irgendwo anders sein könnten ...

Aber nach und nach bekommen diese kleine Ideen meines Mannes Platz in meinem Kopf . Also, gestern habe ich ihm gesagt, dass ich schon Lust hatte auf ein bisschen Veränderung ins Wohnzimmer. Letzendlich leben wir schon seit 1 Jahr in dieser Wohnung, was für uns ziemlich lange ist (Wir sind seit 3,5 Jahren verheiratet und diese ist unser 4. Wohnung!)

Er war mehr als glücklich mich zu sagen hören (hätte wirklich nicht damit gerrechnet) und begann sofort die Arbeit am neuen Projekt. So ist das jetzt geworden:

Meu marido adora mudar as coisas em casa. Eu não. Eu sei que isso nao é muito normal para uma mulher, mas é a mais pura verdade! Uma vez que encontrei um bom lugar para as coisas, eu nunca mais posso imaginá-las em outro lugar ...

Mas, pouco a pouco, eu estou aceitando e gostando das ideias do meu marido tanto que ontem eu disse a ele que eu estava querendo dar uma mudade de lugares das coisas na nossa sala. Já que estamos vivendo aqui há um ano (o que é muito tempo pra gente. Estamos casados há 3,5 anos e esse é o nosso quarto apartamento!)...

Ele ficou mais do que feliz em me ouvir falar uma coisa do gênero entao nao perdeu tempo e começou a trabalhar no novo projeto. Aqui o resultado:

why blogging and Give-away

On my facebook page I have a set of photographs called "Made with my own hands" and I got many comments, curiosities and encouragement through it that I decided to use this space to publish more of those things I like doing.

So, dear friends and family, that´s my purpose with this blog.Keep on visiting for news!

Auf meiner Facebook-Seite habe ich ein Foto-Album die ich "mit meinen eigenen Händen gemacht"  genannt habe.  Da habe ich viele Kommentare, und Interesse bekommen, so das ich beschlossen habe, diesen Blog als Raum zu nutzen, die sachen die ich gerne mache mit euch mitzuteilen. Liebe Freunde und Familie, das ist mein Ziel mit diesem Blog. Also, besucht immer wieder für die neue Narrichten!

Gift I - Geschenk I - Presente I

I´ve already written that September is a month full of B-days. So I am happily busy making some presents. Unfortunatelly I can not post the images as soon as I finish my work because I want to keep it as a surprise and some of them have to fly across the ocean...
But today I can post the first gift sent and already received!
Is is a sweet handbag I´ve made for one of my sisters who´s moved to the USA about 3 weeks ago. I made it very brazilian and colourfull so that she can think of home and not be homesick! :)
As soon as she sends me a pic using it I´ll post it here.
I hope she liked it.

Ich habe schon geschrieben, dass der September ein Monat voller Geburtstage ist. Ich bin glücklich damit beschäftigt, einige Geschenke zu machen. Leider kann ich den Bildern nicht sofort zeigen, weil eigentlich  Überraschungen sind...
Aber heute kann hier ich das erste Geschenk zeigen, denn es ist schon am seinem Ziel angekommen.
Ist eine süße Handtasche die ich für meine Schwester, die in den USA vor etwa 3 Wochen umgezogen ist gemacht habe.
Ich habe es sehr brasilianisch und bunt genäht, so dass sie an zu Hause denken kann und keine Heimweh hat! :)
Sobald sie mir ihre Bilder sendet, dann poste ich das hier auch.
Ich hoffe, ihr hat es gefallen.

Ja escrevi que setembro é um mes cheio de aniversários.Portanto, estou feliz ocupada fazendo alguns presentes. Infelizmente não posso postar as imagens logo que eu terminar os trabalhos porque eu quero mantê-los como surpresa e alguns deles têm de sobrevoar o oceano ...

Mas hoje eu posso postar o primeiro presente que já foi enviado e recebido:

Uma bolsa fofa que eu fiz para uma das minhas irmãs, que se mudou para o E.U.A. cerca de 3 semanas atras. Fiz bem brasileira, colorida para que ela possa pensar em casa e não sentir muitas saudades! :)

Assim que ela me enviar uma foto com a bolsa eu posto aqui.

Espero que ela tenha gostado.

E ai, Flavia, o que achou? Fiz com muito carinho, te desejando uma ótima estada nos EUA.
