The last days I was almost stuck at home. I couldn't go out. Which was bad because saturdays was just a beautiful day outside but on the other hand, helped me to be almost back on track again.
So, now to what I've been doing the past days:
Bag - it is almost finished. It's only missing the handles (that I still have to buy) but I think it turned out so nice! And it is also preatty easy to make. Ok, it can get a bit confusing because you have to turn the fabrics some times but I had a great help! I found an explanation video on the internet that showed everything and looking at it make things even simplier.It is in german but you actually don`t need to understand what the lady is saying when you habe the instructions. The moviments were the important thing for me.

Pear - this is one simple and super cute project. It's really easy and adorable. So, done! :)
Dog - You know, there are some projects on this book that I am really scared of, and I tend to let them to the end (I don't know it that is a much clever idea). And this was the first out of the scaries that I tried out. I've never done complicated "sutffed animals" just simple ones where you have everything together. You know what? It is really not that hard. Really. I really had fun doing it (it`s quite simple) and I think it`s one of the sweetest things I`ve made.
I decided to make it with colour fabric (I don`t have the Tilda brawn fabric). It`s a cute light green Gingham. It's the first thing I am sewing for the baby. Very neutral. :)

Strawberries are ready and I've started a super cute bag whic I think is going to look great!!!
Tonight again a busy evening but I'm hoping to get on the machine tomorrow afternoon.
I really hope that my recharger cable arrives soon so I can post the pics here.

Day 2 - Tag 2 - Dia 2
Way to tired to do anything. Came home around 10p.m. and am going directly to bed!

Day 1 - Tag 1 - Dia 1
Ok, yesterday was the first day. And it was a bit harder than I thought... First thing: to choose the project.
I stuck there for a while.
At first I thought of doing something easier, something that I have already done like the make-up bags. But then, Monday is my day off so, I have the time to try something new (apart from cleaning the house, washing and ironing the clothes etc...). Something new, ok, but then, what? I needed something "easy" in order to get back slowly because more than a month away from the machine is not a small deal. At least not for me ;oP.
I went through the pages and found it: the slippers! They are really cute and I thought they would be easy to make.
I chose the fabrics, had all the materials ready and read the instructions excited to get started. As I read I thought something was strange: why would I have to cut everything twice? Crazy, I thought...
You know, sometimes I tend to think that I am smarter then some instructions and in this case well, maybe Tone Finnanger or the translator might have done a mistake... As I am super clever, I cut everything only once and move on felling pretty smart. Well, this feeling didn't last very long.
When I was sewing the pieces together, I realized that both the author and the translator were right. I had to cut everything double because I am doing a PAIR of shoes. Silly me!
After that I promissed myself to follow every single step from the instructions (as long as I understand them) for the next 34 days.
The slippers turned out pretty cute, even cutier than I thought (pictures to follow, I forgot the recharge cable for the camera in Brazil but we have already ordered another one).
The only thing I would do differently is that I would probably try to put some extra stuffing (is that the right word?) on the bottom part, the one touching the ground. I think it was too thin only with the fabric and felt. But ok, that's me again rebelling against the instructions...
I moved on to another project since I know this week is going to be a hard one. This time I chose one that seems a real easy one: the strawberries. I started doing 3 small ones, but haven't finished yet (lots of clothes to iron) but I am hoping to get them done tonight.
I'll let you know more about it tomorrow.

Etwas Neues, ok, aber dann, was? Ich wollte etwas "einfach", um wieder langsam, weil mehr als einen Monat weg von der Maschine ist kein kleines Ding. Zumindest nicht für mich ;OP.
Ich ging durch die Seiten und fand sie: die Pantoffeln! Sie sind wirklich süß und ich dachte, sie wären leicht zu machen.
Ich habe denStoff ausgewählt, hatte alle Materialien bereit und habe angefangen die Anweisungen zu lesen voller Aufregung um loszulegen. Als ich gelesen habe, da dachte Ich, dass etwas seltsam war: warum sollte ich alles doppelt schneiden? Crazy, dachte ich ...
Manchmal neige ich dazu zu denken, daß ich klüger bin als einige Anweisungen und in diesem Fall, wer weiß, vielleicht könnten Tone Finnanger oder den Übersetzer einen Fehler gemacht haben ... Da ich super clever bin, schneide ich alles nur einmal auf und mache weiter mit dem Gefühl richtig Klug zu sein. Nun, dieses Gefühl hilt nicht lange an.
Als ich die Stücke zusammen nähte, wurde mir klar, dass sowohl der Autor wie der Übersetzer recht hatten. Ich musste alles doppelt schneiden, weil ich ein PAAR Schuhe nähe!
Danach habe ich mir versprochen jeden einzelnen Schritt von den Anweisungen zu folgen (so lange wie ich sie verstehe) für die nächsten 34 Tage.
Die Pantoffeln sind ziemlich niedlich geworden, eigentlich schöner als ich dachte (Bilder folgen, Ich habe das Kabel zum Aufladen der Kamera in Brasilien vergessen, aber wir haben schon ein anderes bestellt).
Das einzige, was ich anders machen würde ist, dass ich wahrscheinlich versuchen würde, mehr Füllwatte auf den unteren Teil, der einen den Boden berührt, zu tun. Ich denke, es war zu dünn, nur mit dem Stoff und Filz. Aber ok, das bin ich wieder rebellisch gegen die Anweisungen ...
Dann wollte ich noch ein anders Projekt anfange, da ich weiß, dass diese Woche schwer sein wird. Dieses Mal wählte ich ein, dass richtig leicht scheint: die Erdbeeren. Ich angefangen 3 kleine zu machen. Habe aber noch nicht abgeschlossen (Viel zu viel Wäsche zu bügeln), aber ich hoffe, dass ich sie heute Abend fertig machen kann.
Ich erzähle mehr darüber morgen.

Julia & Julie or Daniela & ...
So, I am back for a while now and since I came I have a kind of creative "break down". Do you know that?
It is not lack of creativity - I do have looooots of ideas. But I don't really know where to start!
I got so many fabrics in Brazil and would love to start sewing things for the baby, but not knowing if it's a boy or a girl makes it so difficult!!!!
So, here am I, stuck, full of energy to sit in front of the machine and produce a lot. But what? Nothing seems exciting enough and for the baby I will have to wait at least 6 more weeks...
That's when I had an idea:
On the plane back to Germany I saw the film Julie & Julia - by the way, what a great movie!! Really inspiring.
Then I thought: "well I could start my own Julia Project".
I chose a book I wanted to go through and gave me a time limit. That should keep me busy for a while.
The book I choose was Sew Pretty Homestyle (Tildas Haus) by Tone Finnanger.
35 projects in 35 days. That is my goal. I know I am crazy but I will try. I´ll do my best!
I am excited and afraid both at the same time. So many beautiful things but what a challenge!
At this point I have to tell you that about 2 years ago I didn't know how to sew a button. Actually, when one fell from my husband's blouse we both stand in front of the computer looking for tutorials on youtube. Really!
The first time I touched a sewing machine 18 months ago and, thanks to my lovely sister, I know how to put a thread through it...
My first sewing machine I got as a present from my father about 2 months later and since then, I've been trying my way out. Never had any classes, mother or grandmother giving me their knowledge. So, the little I've done so far, was based on the theme "learning by doing - on your own".
I am SO THANKFUL for the internet and the sharing and inspiring folks here!!!
I hope that through this challenge I will be able to learn a lot and improve my sewing skils.

Es ist nicht Mangel an Kreativität - ich habe soooo viele Ideen. Aber ich weiß wirklich nicht, wo ich anfangen soll!
Ich habe so viele Stoffe aus Brasilien mitgebracht und würde gerne die Sachen für das Baby anfangen zu nähen, aber nicht zu wissen, ob es ein Junge oder ein Mädchen macht es so schwer!!
So, hier bin ich, stecken geblieben, voller Energie um vor der Maschine sitzen und eine Menge zu produzieren. Aber was? Nichts scheint aufregend genug und für das Baby, werde ich mindestens 6 Wochen warten müssen...
Mitte in dieser Frustration hatte ich eine Idee gehabt: Im Flugzeug zurück nach Deutschland sah ich den Film Julie & Julia - übrigens, was für ein großartiger Film! Wirklich inspirierend.
Dann dachte ich: "Na ich könnte meine eigene Julia-Projekt starten".
Ich habe denn ein Buch ausgewählt um durch zu gehen und gab mir eine Frist. Das sollte mich für eine Weile beschäftigen - nicht dass ich schon nicht genug zu tun hätte...
Das Buch, dass ich ausgesucht habe ist Tildas Haus: Traumhafte Stoffideen im skandinavischen Stil von Tone Finnanger.
35 Projekte in 35 Tagen. Das ist mein Ziel. Ich weiß, ich bin verrückt, aber ich werde es versuchen. Ich werde mein Bestes geben!
Ich bin sehr aufgeregt und ängstlich beide zur gleichen Zeit. So viele schöne Dinge, aber was für eine Herausforderung!
In dieser Stelle muss ich euch sagen, dass vor 2 Jahren wuste ich nicht, wie man einen Knopf annäht. Eigentlich, wenn mein Mann einen Knopf aus seine Bluse verloren hat, sind wir beide vor dem Computer gestanden und abei nach Anweisungen bei Youtube gesucht. Wirklich!
Das erste Mal, dass ich eine Nähmachine angefasst have war vor ca. 18 Monate und dank meiner lieben Schwester, wieß ich wie ich den Faden dadurch machen kann ...
Meine erste Nähmaschine bekam ich als ein Geschenk von meinem Vater etwa 2 Monate später, und seitdem habe ich meinen Weg ausprobiert. Noch nie hatte ich Unterricht oder Mutter oder Großmutter, die mir ihre Kenntnisse weitergegeben haben. Also, das Wenige, was ich bisher getan habe, war unter der Motto "Learning by Doing - auf eigene Faust".
Ich bin so dankbar für das Internet und die inspirierende Leute hier!
Ich hoffe, dass durch diese Herausforderung, ich eine Menge neues lernen kann und, natürlich, dass ich mich auch verbessern kann.
Ich halte euch auf dem laufenden.

Talvez seja uma boa hora para contar para vocês cerca de 2 anos atrás eu não sabia como costurar um botão. Na verdade, meu maridoperdeu um botao de sua camisa ficamos os dois na frente do computador procurando tutoriais no youtube. Sério!
A primeira vez que toquei numa máquina de costura foi há 18 meses e graças a minha irmã linda eu sei como colocar a linha nela ...
Minha primeira máquina de costura eu ganhei de presente meu pai cerca de 2 meses depois e, desde então, tenho tentado dar o meu jeito. Nunca tive aula, mãe ou avó que me ensinassem muito (Minha mae me ensinou a fazer fuxicos, pelo que sou grata até hoje. Assim, o pouco que eu tenho feito até agora foi baseado no lema "learning by doing - por conta própria".
Eu sou tão grata pela Internet e pelas pessoas maravilhosas que compartilham e inspiram por aqui!
Espero com esse desafio aprender muitas coisas novas e aprimorar outras. Vamos ver no que vai dar :)

Estou de volta há algum tempo agora e desde que eu cheguei, tenho tido uma espécie de "pausa criativa". Vocês conhecen isso?
Não é falta de criatividade - Eu tenho um mooooonte de idéias, só não sei por onde começar!

Trouxe tantos tecidos do Brasil e gostaria de começar a costurar coisas para o bebê logo (ai, como sou anciosa!) mas não saber se é um menino ou uma menina torna as coisas tão difíceis!!
Então, aqui estou eu, presa, cheia de energia para sentar na frente da máquina e produzir muito. Mas o quê? Nada parece interessante o suficiente e pro bebê e eu vou ter que esperar pelo menos 6 mais semanas...
Pensando sobre o que fazer foi quando eu tive uma idéia: No avião de volta para a Alemanha vi o filme de Julie & Julia - a propósito, que grande filme! Realmente inspirador. Então eu pensei: "Bem que eu poderia começar o meu próprio Projeto Julia".
Escolhi um livro para seguir e me dei um limite de tempo. Isso deve me manter ocupada por um bom temo - como se eu ja nao tivesse o suficiente para fazer...
O livro que eu escolhi foi Sew Pretty Homestyle (Tildas Haus) da Tone Finnanger.
35 projetos em 35 dias. Essa é a minha meta. Eu sei que estou louca, mas vou tentar. Eu vou fazer o meu melhor!
Estou animada e com medo ao mesmo tempo. Tantas coisas bonitas, mas que desafio!
Então, aqui estou eu, presa, cheia de energia para sentar na frente da máquina e produzir muito. Mas o quê? Nada parece interessante o suficiente e pro bebê e eu vou ter que esperar pelo menos 6 mais semanas...
Pensando sobre o que fazer foi quando eu tive uma idéia: No avião de volta para a Alemanha vi o filme de Julie & Julia - a propósito, que grande filme! Realmente inspirador. Então eu pensei: "Bem que eu poderia começar o meu próprio Projeto Julia".

Talvez seja uma boa hora para contar para vocês cerca de 2 anos atrás eu não sabia como costurar um botão. Na verdade, meu maridoperdeu um botao de sua camisa ficamos os dois na frente do computador procurando tutoriais no youtube. Sério!
A primeira vez que toquei numa máquina de costura foi há 18 meses e graças a minha irmã linda eu sei como colocar a linha nela ...
Minha primeira máquina de costura eu ganhei de presente meu pai cerca de 2 meses depois e, desde então, tenho tentado dar o meu jeito. Nunca tive aula, mãe ou avó que me ensinassem muito (Minha mae me ensinou a fazer fuxicos, pelo que sou grata até hoje. Assim, o pouco que eu tenho feito até agora foi baseado no lema "learning by doing - por conta própria".
Eu sou tão grata pela Internet e pelas pessoas maravilhosas que compartilham e inspiram por aqui!
Espero com esse desafio aprender muitas coisas novas e aprimorar outras. Vamos ver no que vai dar :)

Since I've been busy unpacking those are the news I have so far. No time yet to CRAFT so, I'll post here some Christmas Gifts I've made.

Ich bin so beschäftig mit Auspacken, dass das sind soweit die Neuigkeiten. Ich habe noch keine Zeit zum CRAFTen, werde ich hier ein paar Sachen posten, die ich am Weihnachten verschenkt habe.
