August Giveaway - 2nd Week - August Geschenk - 2. Woche - Sorteio de Agosto - 2a semana

So, it is time again for our 2nd Week of Giveaways!
Last month was also a special month beacuse I "celebrate" 3 years of CRAFTando. Yes, time passes by so fast!

Do you know how it all began?
I've always loved to do things with my own hands from cooking to all kinds of CRAFTing: Papier Marche, crocheting, cross stitching, working with wood. But sewing... Well it was always a dream, but I've never learned how to so I left it aside.

As a child I tried sewing clothers for my Barbies but they surely looked better on my imagination than in real life - poor things! As a teenager I loved to draw clothes and dreamt of being a fashion designer but ended up going other ways...

Oh well, three years ago we got an E-mail from friends saying they were coming over to visit us. I wanted to make everything special for when they come so I started looking for nice pillow covers for their bed.
I couldn't find that special ones I was looking for - do you know that feeling when you don't really know what you are looking for until you finally find it? - I didn't! But I found a super cute fabric and though: "Oh, well, I could make my own pillow covers".

The problem was: I DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO SEW. Really. Some weeks before one of the buttons on my husband's blouses was loose and he asked me to fix it. I told him I didn't know how to so, we ended up, both of us, in front of the computer watching a video on how to sew a button. :)

Ok, I did it! I bought the fabric, got the one needle I had (remember? I had to sew my husband's blouse) and started sewing per hand. The result you can see here. We have them in our bed until today.


So, es ist wieder Zeit für unser das Geschenk der zweiten Woche.
Der letzte Monat war auch ein besonderer, weil ich 3 Jahre CRAFTando "gefeiert" habe. Ja, die Zeit vergeht so schnell! 

Wisst ihr eigentlich, wie alles begann?
Ich habe es schon immer geliebt, Dinge mit meinen Händen zu machen,  vom Kochen, bis hin zu allen Arten von CRAFTen: Papier Marche, Häkeln, Sticken, Arbeiten mit Holz... Aber Nähen… Es war immer ein Traum, aber ich habe es nie gelernt, also ließ ich es. und habe mich auf die andere Dinge konzentriert.

Als Kind versuchte ich Kleider für meine Barbies zu nähen, aber sie sahen in meiner Vorstellung besser aus, als in der Realität - die armen! Als Teenager dann, habe ich gerne Kleiner gezeichnet und davon geträumt eine Modedesignerin zu sein, aber ich bin andere Wege gegangen.

Also, vor drei Jahren haben wir eine E-Mail bekommen, dass Freunde uns besuchen kommen werden. Ich wollte alles sehr besonders herrichten und ich schaute nach schönen Kissen, um das Bett schön zu dekorieren.
Ich konnte die nicht finden, die ich gesucht habe - kennst du das Gefühl, wenn du nicht genau weißt wonach du suchst, bis du es endlich findest? Ich habe es jedenfalls nicht gefunden! Als ich letztlich einen sehr süßen Stoff gefunden habe, dann habe ich gedacht: "Eigentlich könnte ich ja meine eigenen Kissen machen."


Es gab nur ein Problem: ICH KONNTE NICHT NÄHEN. Wirklich. Einige Wochen zuvor bat mich mein Mann einen Knopf an seinem Hemd wieder zu befestigen, der sich gelöst hatte. Ich sagte ihm, dass ich das nicht kann und so endeten wir beiden zusammen vor dem Computer und schauten uns ein Video an, in dem beschrieben war, wie man einen Knopf annäht. :)


Ok, ich hab es also gemacht, Ich kaufte den Stoff, hab mir die eine Nadel genommen, die ich hatte (Erinnerst du dich? Ich musste ja das Hemd von meinem Mann heil machen) und begann mit der Hand zu nähen. Das Ergebnis kannst du hier sehen. Sie sind in unserem Bett bis heute.

I was so proud of myself that I really managed to make something so nice that I started trying out other projects. You can see some of them here.
When I look back at those pictures I think: "oh, goodness, how primitive!". Then I remember how much effort I put in it and how happy I was to realize that I was able to do all of that by hand (I got my first sewing mashine only about 6 months after I started up) that I am really proud of it. Even if they look - and actually were - primitive.

After that, I went on trying,  learning from books and visiting web sites -  I am sooo glad for internet!

Today CRAFTing is a big part of my life. No it is not my profession, it is not what I live from but is something that make my life more colorful. To know that I am able to try new things I've never done before - and never though I could do! - with effort really has changed my life.

This is what I am celebrating with you this week and that is why I chose to give a pillow cover set away. I carefully chose a fabric I love. It is an IKEA fabric but it really belongs to my special ones - you know those ones on the shelves that you take off from time to time just to stare at them and don't have the courage to cut? I was waiting for the perfect project and here it is. So, know that I made it with loots of love.



Ich war so stolz auf mich, das ich so etwas schönes geschafft habe und begann mit anderen Projekten. Hier kannst du dir einige ansehen.
Wenn ich auf diese Bilder zurückblicke, dann denke ich: "ach du meine Güte, wie primitiv!" Dann erinnerte ich mich, wie viel Arbeit ich investiert habe und wie glücklich ich war, als ich gemerkt habe, dass ich all diese Dinge mit meinen Händen machen kann (Ich habe meine erste Nähmaschine nur sechs Monate nachdem ich angefangen habe mit dem Nähen bekommen) und darauf war ich sehr stolz. Auch wenn sie primitiv aussehen- und das sahen sie auch.

Danach habe ich weitergemacht aus Büchern mehr zu lernen, Websites zu besuchen - Ich bin so froh das Internet zu haben.  

Heute ist das CRAFTen ein großer Teil meines Lebens. Nein, es ist nicht mein Beruf, es ist nichts, wovon ich lebe, aber es macht mein Leben bunter. Zu wissen, dass ich in der Lage bin, neue Dinge auszuprobieren, Dinge, die ich nie zuvor gemacht habe und nie dachte, dass ich es könnte, haben mein Leben verändert.


Und das feiere ich diese Woche mit dir und darum habe ich mich entschieden, ein Kissenbezugset zu verschenken. Ich habe einen Stoff, dien ich liebe ausgesucht. Es ist ein IKEA Stoff , aber es ist wirklich einer meiner Lieblingsstoffe. Weißt du, einen solchen Stoff, den du im Regal hast und von Zeit zu Zeit anstarrst und dich nicht traust ihn zu schneiden?Ich habe auch das perfekte Projekt gewartet und hier ist es. Also, es ist mit viel Liebe gemacht.

Starting up - Anfang - Comecando

Originally I have planned for July one giveaway per week and I am hoping to do it so. One month and some days later, but let's try.

We're in holiday mood and packing is the most annoying part of it, isn't it? There is so much to think about! I decided to make something to help making things a bit easier and nicer. So I sew this underwear bag:

Wir sin voll im Urlaubsfieber und Kofferpacken ist der schlimmste Aufgabe dabei, oder? Mann darf ja nichts vergessen! So habe ich mich entschlossen etwas zu machen, dass das ganze ein bisschen aufpeppen und leichter machen soll - dieser Unterwäschesack:

This way we keep at least some things nicely organized. The first ones I made for my family and they absolutely loved it.

So werden, zumindest, ein paar Sachen schön organisiert. Die ersten Unterwäschesäcke die ich gemacht habe, habe ich ein paar Leute aus meine Familie geschenkt und sie lieben es.

Assim conseguimos ter, pelo menos, algumas coisas organizadas e fofinhas! Os primeiros saquinhos de lingerie que fiz foram para a minha familia, e eles adoraram.

Give away - sorteio

The day is almost over but before it is too late I had to post something really fast.

Today is Valentine's day in Brazil and I have so many reasons to celabrate. Some years ago I got the best boyfriend of the World and every year, when those dates come - we are a multi-cultural couple and celebrate both, the brazilian and the european Valetine's Day :) - I realize what a blessed person I am. I am surrounded by love. Not only from my husband, but from my family, friends, from God. Wow! Isn't that inspiring?

I also think so! To celebrate that I decided to make a give away. I will give two clutches that I've made recently. One is this wonderful here that I've tested some time ago, remember? The second one is a super cute mini Clutch.


Der Tag ist fast vorbei, aber bevor es zu spät ist wolle ich ganz schnell etwas posten.

Heute ist Valentinstag in Brasilien und ich habe so viele Gründe zu feiern. Vor einigen Jahren bekam ich der beste Freund der Welt und jedes Jahr, wenn diese "Feste" kommen - wir sind ein Multi-Kulti-Paar und feiern beide, der brasilianischen und der Europäischen Valetinstag :) - merke ich, was für eine gesegnete Mensch ich bin. Ich bin so von Liebe umgeben. Nicht nur von meinem Mann, aber auch von meine Familie, Freunde, von Gott. Wow! Ist das nicht inspirierend?

Das finde ich auch! Um das zu Feier habe ich beschlossen, einen Give-away zu machen. Ich werde zwei Clutches, die ich vor kurzem gemacht habe, verschenken. Eines ist dieses wunderbare hier, dass ich vor einiger Zeit getestet habe. Könnt ihr euch noch errinern? Die zweite ist eine super süße Mini Clutch.

O dia já está acabando, mas antes de ele acabar de verdade, tive que vir correndo postar aqui.

Hoje é dia dos namorados no Brasil. E eu tenho mais do motivos para comemorar. Há alguns anos ganhei o melhor namorado do mundo e todos os anos, quando essas datas chegam - somos um casal multi-cultural, celebramos o dia dos namorados europeu e o brasileiro :) - vejo como sou uma pessoa abencoada. Sou rodeada por amor. Nao so do meu marido, mas da minha familia, dos meu amigos, de Deus. Uau! Isso é inspirador, nao?

Também acho! E para celebrar isso resolvi fazer um sorteio. Vou sortear duas bolsas de mao que fiz recentemente. Uma é essa maravilhosa que testei há pouco tempo, lembram? E a outra é uma mini Clutch super mega fofa!
