Entao, pessoal, estou super empolgada com este sorteio. Tenho recebido um retorno tao legal das pessoas. Eu realmente acho que vocês todos foram tocados e inspirados pelo amor. Que bom! :)))

Give away - sorteio

The day is almost over but before it is too late I had to post something really fast.

Today is Valentine's day in Brazil and I have so many reasons to celabrate. Some years ago I got the best boyfriend of the World and every year, when those dates come - we are a multi-cultural couple and celebrate both, the brazilian and the european Valetine's Day :) - I realize what a blessed person I am. I am surrounded by love. Not only from my husband, but from my family, friends, from God. Wow! Isn't that inspiring?

I also think so! To celebrate that I decided to make a give away. I will give two clutches that I've made recently. One is this wonderful here that I've tested some time ago, remember? The second one is a super cute mini Clutch.


Der Tag ist fast vorbei, aber bevor es zu spät ist wolle ich ganz schnell etwas posten.

Heute ist Valentinstag in Brasilien und ich habe so viele Gründe zu feiern. Vor einigen Jahren bekam ich der beste Freund der Welt und jedes Jahr, wenn diese "Feste" kommen - wir sind ein Multi-Kulti-Paar und feiern beide, der brasilianischen und der Europäischen Valetinstag :) - merke ich, was für eine gesegnete Mensch ich bin. Ich bin so von Liebe umgeben. Nicht nur von meinem Mann, aber auch von meine Familie, Freunde, von Gott. Wow! Ist das nicht inspirierend?

Das finde ich auch! Um das zu Feier habe ich beschlossen, einen Give-away zu machen. Ich werde zwei Clutches, die ich vor kurzem gemacht habe, verschenken. Eines ist dieses wunderbare hier, dass ich vor einiger Zeit getestet habe. Könnt ihr euch noch errinern? Die zweite ist eine super süße Mini Clutch.

O dia já está acabando, mas antes de ele acabar de verdade, tive que vir correndo postar aqui.

Hoje é dia dos namorados no Brasil. E eu tenho mais do motivos para comemorar. Há alguns anos ganhei o melhor namorado do mundo e todos os anos, quando essas datas chegam - somos um casal multi-cultural, celebramos o dia dos namorados europeu e o brasileiro :) - vejo como sou uma pessoa abencoada. Sou rodeada por amor. Nao so do meu marido, mas da minha familia, dos meu amigos, de Deus. Uau! Isso é inspirador, nao?

Também acho! E para celebrar isso resolvi fazer um sorteio. Vou sortear duas bolsas de mao que fiz recentemente. Uma é essa maravilhosa que testei há pouco tempo, lembram? E a outra é uma mini Clutch super mega fofa!

Pattern Testing II - Schnittmuster Test II - Testando um molde II

So I, once again, had the pleasure to test a pattern for the
talented Sue.

This time a clutch. The Victoria Clutch. Gorgeous, isn't it?

I was really excited to try it out. I read the instructions, printed the pattern and chose the fabric. And probably that's when I made the mistake. Or, at least, I thought so. But I'll get back to that later.

The clutch is extremely classy! Really!
The pattern directions are, as usual for Sue's patterns (I am a happy custumer of her patterns), very well written and the pictures help a lot.
But, carefull, if you are a beginner or someone wanting to sew something fast, this is the wrong project if you.  The ruffles make it veeery hard. But then, they are the eye-catcher.

The only part I would disagree with the description is about the fabric choice. Though I agree that choosing a quilting weight for the ruffle is perfect, I found it very hard to use such a light fabric on the pannels too. Next time I sew this clutch I will try also using home decor for the pannels. Hope it works better.

I have chosen a lilac/white straped fabric. It is light so, perfect for the ruffles and the colours so fresh, perfect for the spring and summer. Sounds nice, hum?..
Well, when I cut it and started sewing I was pretty scared. It looked like a bad taste 80ies ruffle thing. You know those ruffle dresses, skirts, etc. Yes! Exactely one of those. Really scary. But, hey, I started it, I would finish it. And that was proven to be a good decision. At the end, I think it turned out pretty cute and different from what I thought. Or, what do you think?

So, noch einmal, hatte ich das Vorrecht einen Schnittmuster von der begabte Sue zu testen.. 

Dieses mal einen Clutch. Die Victoria Clutch. Ist sie nicht wunderschön?

Ich war wirklich aufgeregt es auszuprobieren. Ich las die Anweisungen, druckte die Muster und wählte den Stoff. Und wahrscheinlich war es dann, den ich einen Fehler gemacht habe. Oder zumindest dachte ich so. Aber ich werde später dazu kommen.

Die Clutch ist superschön und stylisch! Wirklich!
Die Anleitungen, wie üblich für Sue's Muster (Ich bin ein glücklicher Kundin ihrer Muster), sind sehr gut geschrieben und die Bilder sind auch eine große Hilfe.
Aber Vorsicht, wenn du ein Anfänger bist, oder suchst etwas schnell zu nähen, dies ist das falsche Projekt, wenn dicch. Die Rüschen machen es gaaanz schwer. Aber, hey, sie sind doch der Hingucker.

Der einzige Teil der Beschreibung mit dem ich nicht ganz einverstanden wäre, wäre es mit Stoffauswahl. Obwohl ich den Wahl einen leichten Quiltstoff für die Rüsche zustimme, fand es sehr schwer, so ein leichter Stoff für die pannels zu verwenden. Nächstes Mal werde ich probieren mit einen etwas dickerer Stoff für die Pannels. Ich hoffe dass es besser funktioniert. 

Ich habe ein lila / weiß Stoff gewählt. Es ist leicht also, ideal für die Rüschen und die Farben so frisch, perfekt für den Frühling und Sommer. Klingt perfekt, oder? .. 

Nun, wenn ich es geschnitten habe und angefangen habe zu nähen war ich ziemlich erschrocken. Es sah aus wie ein 80er-Jahre-hässliche-Rüsches Ding. Ihr kennt die Rüsche Kleider, Röcke, etc., oder? Ja, genau das! Wirklich beängstigend. Aber, hey, ich fing es an, ich würde es auch beenden. Und das erwies sich als eine gute Entscheidung. Am Ende, denke ich, ist es ganz süß geworden. Total anders als ich dachte. Oder was meint  ihr? 

Mais uma vez tive a chance de testar um molde da super Sue. Desta vez uma bolsa de mao, uma clutch. 

A Victoria Clutch. Ela nao é maravilhosa?

Eu estava super animada para testar. Li as instruções, imprimi o molde e escolhi o tecido. E, provavelmente, foi quando eu cometi o erro. Ou, pelo menos, eu pensei que tivesse cometido. Mas eu vou voltar a falar sobre isso mais adiante.

A Clutch é maravilhosa, mesmo!
As intrucoes sao, como sempre nos moldes da Sue (sou uma cliente feliz e muito satisfeita), bem detalhadas e as fotos também ajudam muito.
Mas, atencao, se você é iniciante ou quer costurar algo rápido, esse nao é o projeto mais adequado. Os "babados" dificultam muuuuuuuuuuuito a vida... Mas, ei, sao eles que fazem toda a diferenca e dao o "tchan" a bolsa, nao?

A única parte das intrucoes da qual eu discordo, é sobre a escolha do tecido. Embora eu concorde que a escolha de um tecido leve para o plissado seja perfeito, achei muito difícil usar um tecido tao leve para os painéis também. Da próxima vez que eu costurar esta bolsa, vou tentar usar um tecido mais grosso e pesado para os painéis. Espero que funcione melhor.

Escolhi um tecido lilás e branco listrado. Leve, ou seja, perfeito para o plissado e com cores tao refrescantes, perfeito para a primavera e verao. Parece uma ótima escolha, nao?

Pois, é... Assim que cortei e comecei a costurar me arrependi! Ficou parecendo alguma daquelas coisas plissadas de péééééssimo gosto dos anos 80. Sabe aqueles vestidos e saias e tudo plissado? Exatamente! Sério, comecei a ficar com medo! Mas já tinha comecado e tinha que terminar. E essa foi a melhor decisao que eu poderia ter tomado. No fim acho que acabou ficando bem bonitinha e diferente do que achei que fosse ficar. Nao acham?
