When I went to Brazil I took my old sewing maschine with me. Yes! Imagine what I had to go through at the airport: a 8 months pregnant (young!) lady carrying a sew maschine in her hand lugagge (yes, there ws more inside!).
Als ich nach Brasilien ging habe ich meine alte Nähmaschine mit mir. Ja! Stell euch es vor, was ich auf dem Flughafen durchmachen musste: ein 8 Monat schwanger (junge!) Dame, die eine Nähmaschine in ihre Handgepäck mit genohmen hat (ja, es war noch mehr drin!).
Quando fui ao Brasil levei minha máquina de costura antiga comigo. Sim! Imagine o que eu tive que passar no aeroporto: uma (jovem!) dama, grávida de 8 meses levando uma máquina de costura na mala de mão (sim, tinha mais coisas lá dentro!).
Everyone thought I was crazy, including my husband, but I had to take it with me, otherwise, the 2 months that I would spend there waiting for the baby to come would be very "lonely". Almost like a craft's purgatory. No, I wouldn't make it! :P
Jeder dachte ich sei verrückt, auch mein Mann, aber ich musste es mit mir nehmen, ansonsten den 2 Monaten, dass ich dort wartenten auf das Baby verbringen würde, wären sehr "einsam". Nein, ich würde es nicht schaffen! :P
Todo mundo me chamou de doida, inclusive o meu marido, mas eu tinha que levá-la comigo, caso contrário, os dois meses que eu ficaria lá, esperando pelo bebê seriam muito "solitários". Quase como um purgatório craft. Não, nao dava pra aguentar!! :P
So I took her (yes, my sewing maschine was a she!) with me and she did me great company while waiting for my baby.
Also, ich habe sie (ja, meine Nähmaschine war eine SIE) mitgenohmen und sie hat mir geselschaft geleistet als ich auf mein Baby wartete.
Entao a levei comigo (sim, porque minha maquina de costura era uma ELA) e ela me fez ótima companhia enquanto aguardava a chegada do meu bebe.
Time passed by, baby came and we had to leave, to come back to Germany. And it was time to say goodbye to my beloved and first sewing maschine.
Die Zeit verging, unsere Baby kam und wir mussten gehen; wieder nach Deutschland kommen. Es war Zeit, Abschied von meine geliebte erste Nähmaschine zu nehmen.
O tempo passou, o bebê chegou e tivemos que partir, voltar para a Alemanha. Chegou a hora de dizer adeus aminha amada primeira máquina de costura.
When I arrived home, it was time to start looking for a new sewing maschine. I've searched in many online shops, sewing forums etc
Als ich nach Hause kam, war es Zeit für die Suche nach eine neue Nähmaschine. Ich habe in vielen Online-Shops, Nähforen etc gesucht.
Quando cheguei em casa, foi hora de começar a procurar uma nova máquina. Procurei em muitas lojas on-line, me informei em fóruns de costura etc.
I went to a local shop with an idea of what I wanted and the owner made up my mind. He recomended a brand that I've never heard of: Gritzner.
Ich ging zu einem Laden in der nähe mit eine feste Idee von dem, was ich wollte aber der Ladenbesitzer hat mich überredet. Er empfahl eine Marke, von dem ich noch nie etwas gehört hatte: Gritzner.
Eu fui a uma loja próxima com uma idéia do que eu queria mas proprietário mudou essas idéias um pouco. Ele recomendou uma marca da qual eu nunca tinha ouvido falar: Gritzner.
He told me that is is a really old german brand that was once bought over from Pfaff. According to him, the maschines from this brand are all made in Germany while the others, including Pfaff, are built in different places in the world. He said it`s quality is very good and if I wanted a solid machine, I should take one of those home. The last and best argument he gave me was the warranty: 10 years. I thought, if someone is giving a 10 years warranty, the product must be good!!!!
Er erzählte mir, das dasss eine wirklich alte Deutsch-Marke ist, die einst über von Pfaff gekauft wurde. Ihm zufolge sind die Maschinen von dieser Marke nur in Deutschland gefertigt, während die anderen, darunter Pfaff, an verschiedenen Orten in der Welt gebaut werden. Er sagte, dass die Qualität sehr gut ist und, dass wenn ich eine solide Maschine wollte, sollte ich eines dieser nach Hause nehmen. Das letzte und beste Argument die er mir gab, war die Garantie: 10 Jahre. Ich dachte, wenn jemand 10 Jahre Garantie gibt dann, der Produkt muss wirklichgut sein!!
Ele me disse que está é uma marca alemã bastante antiga que já há algum tempo foi comprada pela Pfaff. Segundo ele, as máquinas desta marca são todas feitas na Alemanha, enquanto as outras, incluindo Pfaff, são fabricadas em diferentes lugares do mundo. Ele disse que sua qualidade é muito boa e que, se eu quisesse uma máquina sólida, eu deveria ter uma desses em casa. O último argumento e o melhor e ele me deu foi a garantia: 10 anos. Eu pensei, se alguém está dando uma garantia de 10 anos, o produto deve ser muito bom!!
That was really what I was looking for. A solid maschine, that will follow me through the years to come(probably not flying over the ocean again). So I got a Gritzner tipmatic 6152. A fully mechanic maschine (no computer and so on...) but with all I need!
Genau danach habe ich gesucht. Nach eine solide Maschine, die mir für die nächsten Jahren folgen soll (nicht unbedingt immer über das Ozean mitfliegen). Jetzt habe ich eine Gritzner Tipmatic 6152. Eine voll Mechanike Maschine (keine Computer und solche Sachen ...), aber mit alles was ich brauche!
Era exatamente o que estava procurando: uma máquina sólida, que vai me acompanhar ao longo dos anos (provavelmente não voando sobre o oceano novamente). Entãoagora eu tenho uma 6152 Gritzner TipMatic. Uma máquina totalmente mecânica (sem computador ou algo do tipo...) mas com tudo que eu preciso!
