Waiting for Christmas - Warten auf Weihnachten - Aguardando o Natal

Less than 4 weeks for Christmas now.

We aren´t really on the mood for Christmas yet both because outside is pretty warm (at least warmer than it should be for this time fo the year) and because this year passed by too fast!

Anyways, time doesn´t move according to our feelings and perceptions... We have to catch up with it. So, we´re getting the home ready for Christmas because next week is the 1st Advent already.

Here some pics of the first decoration. A hanging "Advent wreath" beautifully made from my Mother-In-Law.

Did you know? - Hast du das Gewusst? - Voce sabia?

....That every 6 seconds a child dies in consequence of hunger. That makes more than 14.000 children per Day.
It doesn´t need to be this way!!
Did you know that with 42 Euro you can feed a child in Africa for a whole year?

That is the appel from JAM - Joint Aid Management, a South African founded registered non-profit, Christian humanitarian relief and development organisation with 25 years of experience in relief and sustainable development.

JAM’s programmes focus on nutritional feeding, school feeding, assistance to orphans and vulnerable children, the provision of water and sanitation, as well as skills development, community training on agricultural development, income generation projects and HIV/AIDS programming.

For more information, please see here: https://www.jamint.com/

We, you and me, each one of us can do our part and help that situation change.

I decided to do my part. And here it is:
Every single cent, apart from shiping and material costs, that I sell from my Crafts works until the 24th of december will be donated to JAM.

JAM Germany (where I live) is making a call to gather the amount of money to feed 10.000 children!

So, now is your turn. You can either help the children by donating directly to JAM or, by buying your Christmas Gifts from CRAFTando. And, sure! You can do both!!!

So now you are wondering how to buy crafts by CRAFTando, right? Easy peasy!!

Finally I can post here the picture of the last cube that I have done. (I´ve already posted some of it here http://craftando.blogspot.com/2009/09/things-ive-been-finishing.html)
I was so please do do this one again.
This time was for Britta, a dear lady who´s birthday was last saturday and who unfortunatelly is moving away from Kehl soon.
She saw on Facebook one of the cubes I made and felt in love with it. In a conversation she told me more or less what her favourite colours and etc. So I came up with this very colourful ABC cube.
Hope that when she looks at it on her new home she will think of us.

Butter Cup Bag - Butter Cup Tasche - Bolsa Butter Cup

I saw this bag here (http://madebyrae.blogspot.com/2009/02/free-buttercup-bag-sewing-pattern.html) some weeks ago and imediately felt in love with it.
The beautiful pattern is for free - thank you Rae!!! - so I had to try it.

I had some problems with the instructions (maybe it´s because I´m not used to the technical language) but gladly found these instructions with pictures: http://pigsinpajamas.com/?p=227.

So, here is my first Butter Cup Bag. Love it. I already have somebody very special to give it to :)

)

Ha algum tempo vi essa bolsa aqui (http://madebyrae.blogspot.com/2009/02/free-buttercup-bag-sewing-pattern.html) e me apaixonei.

Entao, eis aqui minha primeira Butter Cup. Amei! Ja sei direitinho de uma pessoa especial para quem presentear :).

Trying new from Tilda

On my last birthday I got a Tilda book for present. As on saturday I had a bit free time and tryed this little make up bag. I think the turned out pretty cute.
