Makeover do dia

 Todo mundo está cansado de saber que cariocas nao gostam de dias nublados. Mas isso é uma meia verdade.

Cariocas amam sim dias ensolarados para curtir uma praia ou simplesmente aproveitar a vida ao ar livre. Mas quem nao gosta daquele tempinho chuvoso lá fora enquanto vc está quentinho e nao precisa ir trabalhar? Eh um dia daqueles de total preguica. Perfeito pra ficar debaixo do edredom assistindo um filme e comendo brigadeiro, certo? Ontem o domingo foi assim aqui no Rio e eu tentei curtir ao máximo.

Acho esses dias perfeitos para dar uma alegrada na casa com projetos simples e fáceis de fazer. Aqueles que a gente vê o resultado rápido, sabem?

Olhei para as prateleiras do armário da cozinha branquinhas e sem graca e lembrei de uns tecidos oleados que comprei um tempo atrás (aqui).  Decidi que elas estavam precisando de um makeover. Peguei uma tesoura, uma fita métrica e um rolo de fita dupla face e comecei.

(por favor ignorem a bagunca dentro do armario, o foco era a prateleira branca rsrs)

Agora é hora de medir o tamanho e cortar. A dupla face ajuda a fixar o tecido na madeira evitando que saia sempre do lugar.

Quem preferir, pode cortar um pouco maior e acertar direto na prateleira usando a tesoura ou estilete. Assim a chance de ficar certinho eh maior ainda.

Well, at least that was what I read everywhere. So, going there was a MUST in this trip.

Das ist was ich überall gelesen habe. also ich musste dahin gehen!

Bem, isso foi o que li em todo lugar entao, visitar essa loja era uma obrigacao!

The shop is in Montmartre, really close to the Basilica of the Sacré Cœur. 

When I arrived at the street I realized that my journey would take longer than I thought. 

The street is full of fabric stores!

Der Laden ist in Montmartre, in der nähe von der Sacré Coeur Basilica. 

Als ich an der Staße ankamm habe ich gemekt, dass mein ausflug etwas länger 

dauer würden als geplannt. Die Straße ist voll von Stoffläden!

vi que meu passeio iria durar mais do que planejado.

So viele Stoffe und Bänder nach rechts und links. Ich wusste nicht woher ich zuerst gehen soll.

Tantos tecidos e aviamentos! Para a direita e para a esquerda. Nao sabia onde ir primeiro.

I chose to go to Marché Saint-Pierre at first. I was super curious!

The place is huge - 5 floors - and full! Each floor has it's own speciality (have a look here). 

Well, it is impressive but I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed. 

Maybe because I expected so much or maybe because I am spoilled from 

what I am used to in Brazil (I gotta post about it sometime).

At the Marché Saint-Pierre there is such a great offer of fabrics but only a corner of (gorgeous!) patchwork fabric. The price is also great - 8,50€/m. But well, the rest... 

There is a little bit of everything: fabric for clothing, wedding dress, decoration, etc.

Ich habe mich für den Marché Saint-Pierre entchieden. Ich war so neugirig!

Der Platz ist riesig - 5 Stockwerke - und voll! 

Jede Etage hat eine eigene Spezialität (siehe hier). Nun, es ist sehr beeindruckend 

aber ich muss zugeben, dass ich ein wenig enttäuscht war.  

Vielleicht, weil ich so viel erwartet habe oder vielleicht, weil ich ein bischen 

verwöhnt bin, mit das, was ich in Brasilien habe (ich muss ein mal darüber posten).

Das Marché bietet ein großes Angebot an Stoffen, hat aber nur eine Ecke (mit wunderschöne!) Patchworkstoff. Der Preis ist auch super - 8,50 € / m. Aber gut, der Rest ...  

Es gibt ein bisschen von allem: Stoffe für Bekleidung, Brautkleid, Dekoration, etc.

Decidi comecr pelo Mercado Saint-Pierre. Estava super curiosa!

O lugar é enorme - 5 andares - e cheio! Cada andar tem a sua própria especialidade  

(dêem uma olhadinha aqui). Bem, o lugar é impressionante mas tenho que admitir,  

fiquei um pouco decepcionada. Talvez porque eu esperasse muito ou talvez porque 

eu seja mau acostumada com o que tenho no Brasil (um dia tenho que postar aqui).

O Marché tem uma oferta tão grande de tecidos, mas apenas um canto com tecidos 

para patchwork (maravilhosos!). O preço também é é muito bom - 8,50 € / m.  

Mas bem, o resto ... Há um pouco de tudo: 

tecidos para vestuário, vestido de noiva, decoração, etc.

Tissues Reine

Here you will find more cloths fabric and lots of 100% cotton fabric for all purposes - including crafts. Oh, they also have an amazing collection from Liberty fabrics. A dream!

Hier findest du auch einen großen auswahl für Bekleidungstoff und andere 100% Baumwollstoff für verschiedene Zwecke - viele auch für Crafts. Ach, sie haben auch ein super Auswahl von Liberty Stoffe. Ein traum!

Aqui voce vai encontrar maus tecidos para vestuário além de tecidos em 100% algodao para diversos propósitos - artesanato inclusive. Ah, eles tambem tem uma colecao maravilhosa dos tecidos da Liberty. Um sonho! 

Les Coupons de Saint Pierre

It is a place where you can buy fabrics in coupons of 3m. Different fabrics. Mainly clothing and cotton.

Dies ist einene Ort wo mann Stoff in 3m Coupons kaufen kann. Die meisten Stücke Bekleidungs- und Baumwollstoffe.

É um lugar em que se compra tecidos em cupons de 3m cada. A maioria é de tecidos para roupas e 100% algodao.

Tissus Moline 

The shop where I spent the most time (and money) in. It is also big. Not so big as the Marche, but bigger than the 2 above. And it's got a great variety of fabric: clothing, home decor, patchwork, 100% cotton for children and other stuff. They also got very friendly personal (hey, they speak portuguese!!!).

It is the kind of place where everyone will find something they like.

Der Laden in dem ich die meiste Zeit (und Geld) verbracht habe. Ist auch groß. Nicht so groß wie der Marche, aber großer als die beide obrige. Sie haben einen riesen Sortiment: stoff für Kleidung, Hausdeko, Patchwork und 100% Baumwollstoff für Kinder und andere Zwecke. Das Personal ist auch sehr freundlich (sie sprechen Portuguiesich!!!). Es is der Ort wo jeder irgendwas finden wird, das er mag.

Foi nessa loga que gastei mais tempo (e dinheiro). Ela também é grande. Nao tao grande quanto o Marché, mas maior do que as outras. Eles teem uma variedade enorme de tecidos: para confeccao, para decoracao, patchwork, 100% algodao para criancas e para outros propósitos. As atendentes sao muito simpáticas (e duas delas fala português!!). É o tipo de lugar em que todo mundo vai encontrar uma coisa que goste.

Ah, Paris...

It's almost 10 days since I am back from Paris right now and normality found it's place at home. Oh, well, almost...

So, it's about time to write about the City among the cities (apart from Rio, of course!). Paris is beautiful, I guess I am not writting something new here... Paris is also an extremely creative city and that's a bit of that that I will explore in this and in some other posts.

Paris exudes art at every turn. It is impossible to walk through that city and not be inspired. Inspired by famous and ordinary artists, by the architecture and imponent buildings, but also by the smallest detais, by the gardens during spring, by the way people dress, by the food, by the bridges and by even lamp posts...


If you are having a creative block, I seriously recommend a visit to Paris.


Es sind schon fast 10 Tage, seitdem ich aus Paris zurück bin. Normalität findet jetzt zu Hause langsam seinen Platz . Oh, na ja, fast ...

So, es ist Zeit, über die Stadt unter den Städten (abgesehen von Rio, natürlich!) zu schreiben. Paris ist wunderschön, ich glaube ich schreibe hier nichts Neues, oder? ... Paris ist auch eine extrem kreative Stadt, und das ist worüber ich in diesen, und in den kommenden Posts schreiben werde. 

Paris strahlt Kunst auf Schritt und Tritt. Es ist unmöglich, durch die Stadt zu gehen und nicht inspiriert werden. Inspiriert von berühmten und gewöhnliche Künstler, von der Architektur der imposante Gebäude, aber auch von den kleinsten detais, durch die Gärten im Frühling, durch die Art, wie Menschen sich kleiden, durch das Essen, durch die Brücken und  selbst durch die Laternenmasten...

Falls du durch eine kreative Blockade durchgehst, empfehle ich dringendst einen Besuch nach Paris.

Já tem quase 10 dias que voltei de Paris e, aos poucos a normalidade vai retornando à casa. Humm, bem aos pouquinhos...

Entao já está mais do que na hora de escrever sobre cidade luz. Paris é linda, acredito que nao esteja escrevendo nada de novo, nao é?... Paris também é uma cidade extremamente criativa e é um pouco deste lado da cidade que vou explorar neste e nos próximos posts.

Paris exala arte a cada esquina. É impossível andar pela cidade sem ser inspirado. Inspirado por artistas famosos e comuns, pela arquitetura de prédios imponentes, mas também pelos pequenos e corriqueiros detalhes, pelos jardins na primavera, pela maneira das pessoas se vestirem, pela comida, pelas pontes e até mesmo pelos postes de luz...

Se você está tendo um bloqueio criativo eu recomendo uma visita a Paris urgente!
